You love nature, would like to experience something in your leisure time and enjoy cycling? Then we have something for you!
Jump on the saddle and step on the pedals to discover our unique world of nature in The Uckermark and in Barnim. The nature-experience-route between Templin, Eberswalde, Schwedt and Prenzlau offers ideal opportunties for this and can be reached both from the cycle path Berlin - Usedom as well as from the Oder-Neiße cycle path. No matter where you start your tour, the round tour of the nature-experience-cycling-route guarantees good road connections in all directions, interesting offers to experience and of course a lot of nature.

The western part of the nature-experience-route...
...takes you directly through one of the largest connected forest regions in Germany, the biosphere reserve Schorfheide - Chorin. Just a few kilometres from Berlin our nature-loving guests can experience a unique and varied cultural and natural countryside, whose forests, lakes, moors and wet meadows offer a home to many rare species of animals and types of plants. Black storks and cranes find just an ideal habitat here as the white-tailed eagle, fish eagle and cry eagle, which breed in the natural forests of the Schorfheide. Moreover, the centuries old hat oaks, of which there are more than 2000 in the world of nature, give the Schorfheide with its strange figure an almost fairytale appearance at some points.

The eastern part of our nature-experience-route...
...offers the opportunity to visit the national park lower Oder valley, one of the regions in Germany with the most varied species. Here you can also find extensive meadow countrysides, which belong to the most endangered habitats at all. More than 161 types of birds breed in the national park, including the reed warbler and quail king, which are threatened with extinction worldwide, have their most important breeding ground in Germany here. The combination of wet meadows, lowland forest residues, natural mixed leave forests and dry lawns offer a varied countryside with rarity value, which nature lovers should not miss.
On the route there are around 40 natural experience offers, which are waiting for your visit and are an exciting supplement to your cycling tour. Visit the game park in Schorfheide or visit the NABU experience centre "Blumberger Mühle". A quick visit to the ecological village Brodowin or the national park house in Criewen is also recommended. Possibilities for relaxation are also offered by the numerous lakes (e.g. Grimnitz Lake, Werbellin Lake, Parstein Lake) along the route, where you can let your feet dangle in the water or can go bathing.

A quick visit to Poland...
In Mescherin, Schwedt or Hohenwutzen you can easily cycle to our neighbour in the east. There, you have the opportunity to view the Oder from the other side one time and discover the landscape conservation park lower Oder valley (Park Krajobrazowy Doliny Dolnej Odry) from Greifenhagen (Gryfino) to Fiddichow (Widuchowa). Or go on a bicycle round trip through the idyllic landscape conservation park Zehden (Cedynski Park Krajobrazowy) from Königsberg (Chojna) to Mohrin (Moryn) to Bärwalde (Mieszkowice) and Zehden (Cedynia).
